Darrell Sapp

I started my career in the "Dark...room Ages" in the last millennium. During freshman orientation at Fairmont State College, I was interviewed and offered a job as a photographer at the Fairmont Times in Fairmont , West Virginia. There I worked evenings for seven years. In 1978, I moved to the Morgantown Dominion-Post for one year. In August of 1979, I came to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Since the year 2000, I have been working an early shift and covering Pittsburgh as it comes alive each day. While this area has a rich tapestry of scenes it is enhanced by the seasons and Mother Natures' blessings. But, most of my assignments are news related. When I came to the Post-Gazette there was a sense of family. One year later my wife, Patty, and I were married, we planted our roots for a home and our family. We will forever call Pittsburgh home.
