Baseball ruled in Pittsburgh for at least a few innings the night the Pirates faced the Giants in a Wild Card playoff game. PNC Park roared. Fans waved the Jolly Roger. Then the Giants' Brandon Crawford stepped up to the plate and whacked a grand slam over the right field wall. Hopes for a rally faded as the innings passed and the Pirates remained scoreless.
