Pittsburgh has many charms, but she doesn\u2019t give them all up easily.<\/p>\n
Residents and visitors alike have to negotiate 90-plus neighborhoods in the city alone, and 130 municipalities in just Allegheny County, all separated and linked by our valleys and wooded ridges, our rivers and bridges.<\/p>\n
Scattered over and tucked into the nooks and crannies of that physical landscape are myriad institutions and attractions and shops, restaurants and breweries and distilleries, parks and trails and stairways, sports venues and recreation leagues, and other organizations and businesses that all year \u2019round generate dense calendars of events and listings of things to do and see.<\/p>\n
It\u2019d be nice to have a guide.<\/p>\n
In that spirit, we present this Pittsburgh Insiders Guide. It\u2019s our experts\u2019 guide to finding and enjoying the best that Pittsburgh and this region have to offer, in everything from our exploding dining and drinks scene to our hottest and warmest real estate markets.<\/p>\n
Most of us work at the region\u2019s biggest news-gathering organization, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, which is what makes us insiders. It\u2019s always been a perk at work to be able to ask the dining critic where\u2019s the best place for fresh fish, or to ask the outdoors editor that same question.<\/p>\n
