Members of the Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire Firefighters Edward Podgorski, Benjamin Sovyak, Lt. James F. O\u0092Toole and Nathan Oliver received the Red Cross Firefighter Heroes Award. They responded to a house fire on New Year’s day in Wilkinsburg and rescued a 86-year-old woman on the second floor. After wards they encountered a \u0093flashover\u0094 as flames engulfed the first and second floors and jumped from the second story. The breakfast event at which they were honored was held at the Rivertowne Brewing Hall of Fame Club at PNC Park.
