Daniel Marsula, art director, and Steph Chambers, staff photographer, have been recognized with Awards of Excellence in The Society for News Design’s 39th design competition.\u00a0 The contest was held at the St. Petersburg Coliseum in St. Petersburg, Florida, Feb. 24-26.<\/p>\n
The competition includes entries from magazines and general circulation newspapers from around the world. There were nearly 10,000 international submissions for this year\u2019s competition.<\/p>\n
The Award of Excellence is granted \u201cfor truly excellent work, going beyond mere technical or aesthetic competency.\u201d Dan and Steph\u2019s winning entries will appear in the annual \u201cThe Best of News Design,\u201d published later this year.<\/p>\n
