More than 50,000 households woke up to no power Wednesday morning after powerful overnight thunderstorms downed tree limbs, utility lines, tore off a church\u2019s roof and lifted a hangar off the ground at the\u00a0Arnold Palmer Regional Airport in Latrobe.<\/p>\n

A line of thunderstorms started moving through the area just after midnight Wednesday, producing hail, up to 75 mph wind gusts and heavy rain.<\/p>\n

According to the National Weather Service, a tornado touched down near Tarentum around 1:19 a.m Wednesday. Read more about the storm here<\/a>, and see photos of the damage below.<\/p>\n
