The goods, headed for the people impacted by Russia\u2019s invasion of Ukraine, have been pouring into the church for two weeks and include everything from canned and packaged food to diapers and medical supplies. Especially useful are food items that can be eaten in a car \u2014 \u201cfood on the run\u201d that\u2019s easily accessible to people fleeing threatened areas of Ukraine. That includes canned soups with pull-top lids, peanut butter and granola bars. Other useful items are diapers and baby wipes that can be used to clean when water isn\u2019t available. \u201cIf you\u2019re stuck in a basement for a couple of days and you want to freshen up, those will work,\u201d she said. The church has temporarily stopped accepting donations until a truck arrives to take those already gathered to New Jersey, where they\u2019ll be shipped to Poland and Ukraine.
