The 4th annual Black Music Festival, presented by Stop the Violence Pittsburgh, is being held on July 14-17 in Downtown Pittsburgh, Point State Park and Liberty Avenue.<\/p>\n

The Pittsburgh Black Music Festival celebrates and honors Black Music in the City starting in the 1920s to present, with historical and globally honored Jazz and RnB greats, and promoters, like Sellers McKee Hall, Dakota Staton, Errol Garner, Ahmad Jamal, Phyllis Hyman, George Benson, Mary Lou Williams, Billy Strayhorn, Earl “Fatha” Hines, Maxine Sullivan, Art Blakey, Stanley Turrentine and many others.<\/p>\n

The Pittsburgh Black Music Fest highlights different genres of Black-created music from Jazz, Gospel, RnB, Funk and Soul with a specific music category featured each Day.<\/p>\n

This is a FREE Outdoors event, with Vendors, Speakers and cultural activities each day from 11am to 9pm.<\/p>\n
