The Backyard Brawl is a college football rivalry between the University of Pittsburgh Panthers and the West Virginia University Mountaineers.<\/p>\n

The football series was first played in 1895, and the game has historically been one of the more intense rivalries in the eastern United States.<\/p>\n

Through the 104 games played between these two schools, Pitt leads the series 61\u201340\u20133.<\/p>\n
