Among the world’s oldest, floating society of free spirits

Ever since the Phoenicians set sail, water has held a mystical sway over human beings. That includes Pittsburgh owners of houseboats. In fine weather, these floating cottages cruise the region’s rivers, giving their owners a chance to share an extra beer, a joke or a story with their fellow free spirits.
