May 28, 1974: <\/strong>Noll,\u00a0Terry Hanratty, Terry Bradshaw, Joe Gilliam and Frank Kolch<\/em><\/p>\n

This picture oozes a definite \u201970s vibe. It reminds us of Abba\u2019s \u201cWaterloo\u201d and eight-track tapes and the TV show \u201cChico and the Man.\u201d We\u2019re still debating whether it was a good year for pop culture. For the Steelers, there\u2019s no question: It was a great year. In January, the team pulled off its best draft ever (we got Lynn Swann, Jack Lambert, John Stallworth and Mike Webster, all now Hall of Famers). On the field, Coach Noll\u2019s team won the AFC Championship and then pounded the Vikings 16-6 in Super Bowl IX.\u00a0Now, if we could just get that idiotic tune \u201cThe Streak\u201d out of our heads \u2026<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
