Thick black smoke once stained our laundry, gravestones, buildings and skies. But Pittsburgh could also be a place of staggering beauty, as photographer Stewart Love proved with this picture, shot from the roof of the Grant Building. \u00a0We were unable to to determine exactly when this photograph was made.
