Feb. 14, 1974:<\/strong>\u00a0The Mon Wharf has long been a treacherous place to park vehicles with faulty brakes. In our archive, we found the photographic evidence \u2014 at least half a dozen pictures of automobiles in the drink.\u00a0This unoccupied luxury car had been parked on a section of the wharf that had no barrier to keep vehicles from rolling into the Monongahela River. The car\u2019s owner wasn\u2019t identified.<\/p>\n
