By The Mattress Factory in Pittsburgh’s Mexican War Streets neighborhood is a contemporary art museum that specializes in installation art.
Their exhibits invite attendees to enter and experience the art from within it.
On Friday, June 17, they will host their annual fundraiser, the 2016 Urban Garden Party: LIGHT UP THE NIGHT featuring Honorary Chair Mayor Bill Peduto.
The money raised from the event goes toward exhibitions, educational outreach and other artistic programs at the museum.
“Lining,” a tunnel of lighting displays by artist Ian Brill will be installed in the entryway of the museum for the event. Tickets can be purchased at www.mattress.org.
