As of Saturday afternoon, James Conner has scored more touchdowns than any player in the 63-year history of the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Conner’s second touchdown in Pitt’s 56-14 pasting of Duke marked the 53rd of his career, breaking the all-time conference record for total touchdowns, held by former Virginia running back Wali Lundy (2002-05). It also broke the conference record for career rushing touchdowns, set by N.C. State’s Ted Brown in 1978.
