Sri Lanka interfaith memorial service

Faris Kamal, 10, gets comforted by his mother Maliah Kamal, of Franklin Park, during an interfaith memorial service for the victims of the Sri Lanka bombings, Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at Heinz Memorial Chapel, in Oakland. Ms. Kamal said she was moved to attend the service because her best friend from high school is a Sri Lankan Catholic who attended one of the churches that was bombed. “It’s too close to home this time,” she said. “It seems like it’s shattering our faith in humanity to see what people are doing. The onus is on us to come together now.” (Alexandra Wimley/Post-Gazette)
