At the Red Cross annual hero’s breakfast awards, Dr. Jim Withers, left, talks with his presenter Dr. Timothy Campbell. Dr. Withers received the Medical Professional Hero Award. He is the founder and medical director of Pittsburgh Mercys Operation Safety Net, which has provided medical care to approximately 10,000 homeless by going to them. The event was held at the Rivertowne Brewing Hall of Fame Club at PNC Park.
