Downtown Pittsburgh’s development and redevelopment is amazing to see in photos over time, but so too are the area’s neighborhoods and suburbs, from East Liberty to Carnegie and beyond.
When the Stanley Theater opened in February of 1928, admission to the silent film “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes” was 65 cents.
The arsenal was decommissioned in 1926. Today, little evidence of the facility remains.
