Alex Coursen, 14, of Spring Mills, rubs his eyes as he sits to eat his breakfast with the family after waking up just after 5 a.m. to help on the family farm, Thursday, June 13, 2019, at the Valley Wide Farm in Spring Mills. This is Alex’s first summer helping full time with the cows. “Milking in the dairy end of it is not the only component of agriculture that is becoming very technical - your turkey barns, your hog houses - all those things are temperature controlled and remote and need good internet so that you can monitor," Alex’s mother Bethany Coursen said. "So as the state as a whole is starting to say this is impacting our ability to be progressive and do the things we need to do to be competitive with other places, we need the internet.” (Jessie Wardarski/Post-Gazette)
