What is 'Field Study'? About Season 2 of the podcast

Hello! Welcome to Season 2 of Field Study, a podcast about sports, science and technology by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. I’m your host and producer, Matt Moret.

Last season, we shared stories about how science has changed the way fans and teams look at the world of professional sports.

Well, we’re back with a few more. But this time, we’ve placed an even bigger focus on how science has changed the lives of players themselves.

How has public understanding of injuries changed? What are the ethical questions behind the analytics dominating every modern telecast?
