Penguins force Game 7 with 5-2 win against Lightning

The Penguins have lost their past five Games 7 on home ice.

That historical nugget probably isn’t troubling them much, however, now that they’ll have a chance to break that streak — and to secure a place in the Stanley Cup final — Thursday night.

They defeated Tampa Bay, 5-2, in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference final at Amalie Arena tonight, setting up a series-deciding game Thursday at 8:10 p.m. at Consol Energy Center.
