All puppies start out cute, but Xante was special.
Xante (pronounced ZAN-tee) has passed away.
He starred on the PG Puppy Cam.
He has over 1,500 friends on Facebook.
And Pittsburgh City Council proclaimed Feb. 8, 2011, as Xante Day in Pittsburgh.
He came to work almost every day with Joan Ardisson, assistant to the publisher and editor-in-chief of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, John Robinson Block. Ms. Ardisson raised him and loved him.
Xante died of cancer. He was 7-years-old.
