Basketball team continues Thanksgiving dinner tradition

For fourteen years the Neighborhood Academy’s men’s basketball team, from Stanton Heights, has prepared Thanksgiving dinner at the Rainbow Kitchen in Homestead.

On Thanksgiving Day the team arrives at 9 a.m. to help setup and dress in their clean, white chef coats to serve meals from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m.

Rev. Tom Johnson, headmaster and coach, said that the meal included: turkey, gravy stuffing, yams, biscuits, broccoli casserole and a wide selection of pies.
