Prayer vigil for the victims of Fayette Co. shooting

People cried quietly and held each other but, it was all together very quiet as family and friends gathered at the Assembly of God Church in Melcroft to mourn the four victims of a shooting. Chelsie Cline, Cortney Snyder, Seth Cline and Will Porterfield were shot to death by Tim Smith just before 3 a.m. Sunday in the parking lot of Ed’s Car Wash in Saltlick Twp. When Pastor Ronald Dugan, 55, of White, asked people in the crowd if had family who were the victims, hands went up in a pattern from the front to the back pews. Friends and family also gathered outside Ed’s Car Wash down the street from the church to light and release paper lanterns. “I knew Billy for so long it just doesn’t even seem real,” said Katie Ritenour, 25, of Normalville. “Billy was that boy, if he didn’t know you, he was gonna get to know you.”
