At least 11 people are dead and several wounded — including four police officers — after a mass shooting at the Tree of Life Congregation in Pittsburgh’s Squirrel Hill neighborhood Saturday morning.
The suspect, who used an assault-style rifle, is in custody and identified by authorities as Robert Bowers, 46.

Right now there’s organized forces spreading fear and xenophobia, this is a societal sickness that can only be solved with action, protest and solidarity.” He said workers from the Turkish Kebab House restaurant across the street brought him tea and food as they sang in the rain to passers by.
