Black, Young and Educated hosts Civil Saturdays in East Liberty

Nick Anglin, CEO of Black, Young and Educated, speaks to a crowd during a protest on June 27, 2020, in front of Mellon Park in East Liberty. The group called for changes to the language of the use of force law in Pennsylvania, which allows an officer to use force ‘he believes to be necessary’ to defend himself or another from bodily harm while making an arrest.  “We want to change one word,” Anglin told a crowd. “One simple word: from ‘believe’ to ‘reasonable doubt.’”  (Pam Panchak/Post-Gazette)
