Susan Ehrlich of Swissvale checks out food items delivered by pastor Justin Eidinger of Union Baptist Church on Friday, May 1, 2020. Members of the Swissvale church’s Outreach Committee have been delivering food since the governor’s stay-at-home order was issued in March. They go door-to-door in the community and offer a box of items to each family. On this day, they delivered ten boxes. Ms. Ehrlich told Mr. Eidinger said she had enough food in her house so the box was delivered to a neighbor. The church also provides food through a pantry, and maintains a program to provide food to homeless.
