Local woman makes/donates face masks
Cindy McCune has been making masks 14 hours a day for one month to fulfill orders via Facebook.
She only asks for donations for her materials.
So far she has made over 400 masks with a wait list through the end of April.
“I don’t want to make money off of people’s misfortune,” McCune said. “It was my way of feeling helpful. Over the years I’ve done factory work, warehouse work, assembly work … it all accumulated together. It’s a form of comfort not only for me, but for the people I do it for. If it makes them feel safer then that’s what it’s all about.”
