Fans return to Heinz Field as Steelers take on Eagles

Not since 1979 have the Steelers gone 4-0, and that wasn’t the only history made at Sunday’s game versus the Philadelphia Eagles. Donning masks, forgoing (for most) tailgating, and keeping in socially distant “pods,” a select group of fans were allowed into an NFL game at Heinz Field for the first time this season. After Gov. Wolf increased COVID-19 related gathering limits, the Steelers released approximately 5,500 seats to season ticket holders. The stadium, which normally holds a capacity of 65,500, had plenty of space to spread out. Read more on the scene outside the stadium from Bob Batz here, and more about the game, including rising star Chase Claypool, from Joe Starkey here.
