Former Pirate Bill Mazeroski (left) with former Pennsylvania governor Dick Thornburgh. They’re holding the official program from Game 7 of the 1960 World Series, which Thornburgh attended. Thornburg credits the victory in that game, which was sealed by a Mazeroski home run in the bottom of the ninth inning, for helping him endure the tragic loss of his wife earlier that year.
