Filming kicked off Monday on the South Side for “A League of Their Own,” Amazon Prime Video’s television adaptation of the 1992 movie about the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League that operated from 1943 to 1954. East Carson was shut down from 15th to 13th streets, and the surrounding blocks were mostly vacated as the TV crew took over the neighborhood.
