The girls were visiting Pittsburgh as part of a school trip. Sunday’s temperature reached 52 degrees. The Monongahela Incline reopened Monday, March 6, 2023, after closing in August for renovations. The incline closed as contractors modernized the mechanical controls and electrical system, upgraded the interiors of the upper and lower stations, and added new track lighting, among other updates. The Mon Incline has been in operation for over 150 years.
